As we walked down the isle's of the store we ran past the toy section and what do I catch out of the corner of my eye????? There in the bicycle section up in the air on a rack at eye level. Sitting there so pretty in its nice little perch smiling down taunting me with the smerk on its green little face......
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 130px; height: 113px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/__-YzlDebO5U/SUaBd2nPrfI/AAAAAAAAAAw/fSBspo0NCXg/s320/inch+worm.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5280049963014794738" />

Yep there it is the inch worm!!!!!!! I thought I was going to fall out and die. Omg! as I exclaimed my partner looking at me funny then looking at the inch worm..

My partner. "ohhhh isn't it sooo cute!." she exclaimed
me glaring at her with nose flared out.

Alllll I ever wanted was a bicycle all my friends had bicycles i wanted one tooo just a bike didn't matter what color it was heck I didn't care if it was second hand rusted out and had no seat as long as it had two wheels to fly me down the rode with my friends.
One Christmas morning I wake up to see a big box under the Christmas tree oooo this is it .. this is my bike I ripped into the paper tackling the ribbon which by the way if my mother ever wraps a present for you it will take c-4 explosives to get through the ribbon!! I am struggling with the ribbon I finally stretch it out enough to slip my little finger under it as it cuts my circulation almost off i slide the ribbon off the edges and wham shred through the paper. tug at the end of the box to open it and there inside the box I see something that is not shaped like a bike. Its green......it has a saddle type seat and its yellow with something sticking up on it then several inches away from it I see something else yellow what is this. my nose krinkled up I slowly reach in and take hold of the yellow sticks poking up off the saddle looking seat and I slowly pull it out of the box head tilted to one side as I am examining this thing I am pulling out of the box........ I walk around it looking it over ....
....there on the floor out of the box in full light for me to see is a shiny green bug smiling looking soooo friendly and innocent with its yellow hat on its head and the yellow seat the sticks are its antlers and are made for you to hold onto as you sit on its seat.....Ok its not a bike but hey its got potential. right? you would think right?.......
its time to try the inch worm out.....sit on the back push down .. the head and tail stretch out bounce up and they come together and you begin to move ok this is fun .. time to take it outside and meet up with your little friends oooooo what is it?!?!? ..its a bug.....well its an inch worm . I didn't get a bike but i got an inch worm. I hop on my little bug with its smile, hat and saddle and take off with my friends and they leave me in the dust.. I am hopping down the road up and down up and down hopping..... HOPPING!!!!! watching my friends get further and further away. they would circle back of course and ride extremly slow beside my hopping down the rode self. some of them almost falling to the side they were having to ride so slow lol of course we would swap turns on the inch worm everyone thought it was cool and fun but me to a point disappointed not to get a bike but had a fun ride... I really hated the inch worm but was enthusiastic about it to my parents. I think the inch worm is the only toy I remember the most over the years. do not get your child an inch worm thinking it can ever replace the hopes and dreams of a bicycle!! its just wrong!! and dream crushing....... The second thing I always wanted was a doll house you know the one if your a girl the huge plantation style doll house with the family and all the little furniture yes i wanted one and still do if i ever get my hands on one I swear it will be put in a glass case with an alarm system all around it and dare anyone to touch it!! but I got the next best thing....
I remember and spent hours playing with my weebles wobble haunted house and my scooby doo and the mystry inc. gang weebles and winnie the pooh tree house with the weebles I just couldn't find any pics of the weebles charactors...

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 233px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/__-YzlDebO5U/SUaOEGjYMtI/AAAAAAAAAA4/I-505IA_StM/s320/HAUN.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5280063814268105426" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/__-YzlDebO5U/SUaOb4HXHWI/AAAAAAAAABA/HM9iFtteGSg/s320/TREE.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5280064222709357922" />

I would sit in the floor of my bed room and solve mysteries for hours then I would play with winnie and tigger and go visit christopher robin and find honey for pooh bear lol omg such memories? What are you memories are they good bad or mixture of both??
Do you remember the little jingle for the weebles??.. "weebles wobbles but the don't fall down!" yeah its embeded in my memory to every time i think of them lol.

Murphy's emt laws

yes i love murphy's laws and stumbled upon some emt laws.
hope you enjoy.
Murphy's EMT laws. The first one is the law I live by and repeat often

* If it's wet and sticky and not yours -- LEAVE IT ALONE !!!

* Air goes in and out, blood goes round and round, any variation on this is bad.

* Try not to discuss "your day" at the family dinner table.

* You may not install a "car catcher" on the front of the ambulance.

* The more equipment you see on a EMT's belt, the newer they are.

* Examine all chest clutchers first, bleeders next, then the rest of the whiners.

* When dealing with citizens, if it felt good saying it, it was wrong.

* All bleeding stops... eventually.

* You can't cure stupid.

* "Riding shotgun" does not mean you shoot the tires of non-yielding vehicles.

* If at all possible, avoid any edible item that fire fighters prepare.

* EMS is extended periods of boredom, interrupted by moments of sheer terror.

* Every emergency has three phases: PANIC... FEAR... REMORSE.

* A good tape job will fix almost anything.

* Yuppies involved in accidents complain how bumpy the ambulance ride is.

* It's not a compliment when Policemen say you're crude, crass & cynical.

* The severity of the injury is directly proportional to the weight of the
patient.

* Turret mounted machine guns usually work better than lights and sirens.

* Schedule your days off to avoid working during full phases of the Moon.

* There is no such thing as a "textbook case".

* You've come to conclude 90% of all drunks are a waste of protoplasm.

* Never refer to someone in respiratory distress as a "Smurf".

* Automatically multiply by 3 the number of drinks they claim to have had.

* Your social skills will be lacking, if all your anecdotes deal with blood.

* Assume every female between 6 and 106 is pregnant until proven otherwise.

* Get very, very scared when a child is too quiet.

* Don't place bets on the glucose level of an unresponsive patient.

* You cannot institute a surcharge for unruly or surly patients.

* It is not necessary to have a pet name for your cardiac monitor.

* As long as stupidity remains epidemic in the US, you have job security.

* Don't worry about the gunshot wound as much as dealing with the family.

* All emergency calls will wait until you begin to eat, regardless of the time.
Corollary 1:
Fewer accidents would occur if EMS personnel would never eat.
Corollary 2:
Always order food "to go".

* The Paramedical Laws of Time:
There is absolutely no relationship between the time at which you are supposed to get off shift and the time at which you will get off shift. Given the following equation: T + 1 Minute = Relief Time, "T" will always be the time of the last call of your shift. E.g., If you are supposed to get off shift at 08:00, your last run will come in at 07:59. (Or if you have early relief coming in you will see you relief sitting at the first stop light from the station, waving!)

* The Paramedical Law of Gravity:
Any instrument, when dropped, will always come to rest in the least accessible place possible.

* The Paramedical Law of Time And Distance:

* The distance of the call from the Hospital increases as the time to shift change decreases.
Corollary 1:
The shortest distance between the station and the scene is under construction.

* The Paramedical Rule of Random Synchronicity:

Emergency calls will randomly come in all at once.

* The Rule of Respiratory Arrest: All patients who are vomiting and must be intubated will have just completed a large meal of Barbecue and Onions, Garlic Pizza, and Pickled Herring, all of which was washed down with at least three cans of Beer.

* The Basic Principle For Dispatchers:
Assume that all field personnel are idiots until their actions prove your assumption.

* The Basic Principle For Field Personnell:
Assume that all dispatchers are idiots until their actions prove your assumption.

* The Axiom of Late-Night Runs:
If you respond to any Motor Vehicle Accident call after Midnight and do not find a drunk on the scene, keep looking:
somebody is still missing.

* The Law of Options:
Any patient, when given the option of either going to Jail or going to the Hospital by a Police Officer, will always be inside the Ambulance before you are.

Corollary 1:
Any patient who chooses to go to Jail instead of the Hospital has probably been in my rig in the past.

* The First Rule of Equipment: Any piece of Life-saving Equipment will never malfunction or fail until:
a)You need it to save a life,
or
b)The salesman leaves.

* The Second Rule of Equipment:
Interchangeable parts don't, leak proof seals will, and self-starters won't.

* The First Law of Ambulance Operation:
No matter how fast you drive the Ambulance when responding to a call, it will never be fast enough, until you pass a Police Cruiser, at which point it will be entirely too fast. Unless you are responding to an "Officer Down" call then it is physically impossible to be traveling fast enough!

* Paramedical Rules of The Bathroom:
If a call is received between 0500 and 0700, the location of the call will always be in a Bathroom. If you have just gone to the Bathroom, no call will be received. If you have not just gone to the Bathroom, you will soon regret it. The probability of receiving a run increases proportionally to the time elapsed since last going to the Bathroom.

* Basic Assumption About Dispatchers:
Given the opportunity, any Dispatcher will be only too happy to tell you where to go, regardless of whether or not (s)he actually knows where that may be.
Corollary 1:
The existence or non-existence of any given location is of only minor importance to a Dispatcher.
Corollary 2:
Any street designated as a "Cross-street" by a Dispatcher probably isn't.
Corollary 3:
If a street name can be mispronounced, a Dispatcher will mispronounce it.
Corollary 4:
If a street name cannot be mispronounced, a Dispatcher will mispronounce it.
Corollary 5:
A Dispatcher will always refer to a given location in the most obscure manner as possible. E.g., "Stumpy Brown's Cabbage Field" is now covered by a shopping center.

* The First Principle of Triage:
In any accident, the degree of injury suffered by a patient is inversely proportional to the amount and volume of agonized screaming produced by that patient.

* The Gross Injury Rule:
Any injury, the sight of which makes you want to puke, should immediately be covered by 4x4's and Kerlix.

* The First Law of EMS Supervisors:
Given the equation: X - Y = Quality of Care where "X" is the care that you render and "Y" is the assistance supplied by any Supervisor. If you can eliminate "Y" from the equation, the Quality of Care will improve by "X".
Corollary 1:
Generally, Field Supervisors have no business in the Field.
Corollary 2:
The level of technical competence is inversely proportional to the level of management.
Corollary 3:
Technology is dominated by those who manage what they do not understand.

* The Law of Protocol Directives:
The simplest Protocol Directive will be worded in the most obscure and complicated manner possible. Speeds, for example, will be expressed as "Furlongs per Fortnight" and flow rates as "Hogsheads per Hour".
Corollary 1:
If you don't understand it, it must be intuitively obvious.
Corollary 2:
If you can understand it, you probably don't.

* The Law of EMS Educators:
Those who can't do, teach.

* The Law of EMS Evaluators:
Those who can neither do nor teach, evaluate.

* The Paramedical Law of Light:
As the seriousness of any given injury increases, the availability of light to examine that injury decreases.

* The Paramedical Law of Space:
The amount of space which is needed to work on a patient varies inversely with the amount of space which is available to work on that patient.

* The Paramedical Theory of Relativity:
The number of distraught and uncooperative relatives surrounding any given patient varies exponentially with the seriousness of the patient's illness or injury.

* The Paramedical Theory of Weight:
The weight of the patient that you are about to transport increases by the square of the sum of the number of floors which must be ascended to reach the patient plus the number of floors which must be descended while carrying the patient.
Corollary 1:
Very heavy patients tend to gravitate toward locations which are furthest from mean sea level.
Corollary 2:
If the patient is heavy, the elevator is broken, and the lights in the stairwell are out.

* The Rules of Non-Transport:
A Life-or-Death situation will immediately be created by driving away from the home of patient who has just thrown you out of their house. The seriousness of this situation will increase as the date of your trial approaches. By the time your ex-patient reaches the witness stand, the Jury will wonder how patient in such terrible condition could have possibly walked to the door and greeted you with a large suitcase in each hand.

* The First Rule of Bystanders:
Any bystander who offers you help will give you none.

* The Second Rule of Bystanders:
Always assume that any Physician found at the scene of an emergency is a Gynecologist, until proven otherwise.
Corollary 1:
Never turn your back on a Proctologist.

* The Rule of Warning Devices:
Any Ambulance, whether it is responding to a call or traveling to a Hospital, with Lights and Siren, will be totally ignored by all motorists, pedestrians, and dogs which may be found in or near the roads along its route.
Corollary 1:
Ambulance Sirens can cause acute and total, but transient, deafness.
Corollary 2:
Ambulance Lights can cause acute and total, but transient, blindness. Note: This Rule does not apply in California, where all pedestrians and motorists are apparently oblivious to any and all traffic laws.

* The Law of Show-And-Tell:
A virtually infinite number of wide-eyed and inquisitive school-aged children can climb into the back of any Ambulance, and, given the opportunity, invariably will.
Corollary 1:
No emergency run will come in until they are all inside the Ambulance and playing with the equipment.
Corollary 2:
It will take at least four times as long to get them all out as it took to get them in.
Corollary 3:
A vital piece of equipment will be missing.

* The Rule of Rookies:
The true value of any rookie EMT, when expressed numerically, will always be a negative number. The value of this number may be found by simply having the rookie grade his or her ability on a scale from 1 to 10.
For rookie EMT's medical skill:
1 = Certified Health Hazard, 10 = Jonny or Roy.
For rookie EMT's behind the wheel:
1 = Obstruction to Navigation, 10 = Mario Andretti.

The true value of the rookie is then found by simply negating the rookie's self-assigned value.
Corollary 1:
Treat any rookie assigned to your Unit as you would a Bystander. (See The First Rule of Bystanders, above.)

* The Rule of Rules:
As soon as an EMS Rule is accepted as absolute, an exception to that Rule will immediately occur.
All of the laws above were sent by Ted Fisher

* It's not a bugle, it's a drain for common sense

* If you're wearing blue and a badge, it doesn't matter what kind it is when the crowd gets riled

* The mere tone of your voice during the patient report to the hospital can often determine what you're required to do in the field

* Don't be surprised if your patient changes names based on whether it's the cops or the FD/EMS asking questions

* The one patient you don't glove up for is the one with "the crud"

* You never get incorrectly dispatched or make a wrong turn going to a BS call

* Patients suffer "ambulancenesia" - they deny any medical problems or history during your assessment, but once you arrive at the ER they "suddenly remember" that they have/had any of a myriad number of medical conditions, causing the ER staff to look at you like you like you're totally clueless

* "Escriba su nombre aqui" is not spanish for "do you want to go to the hospital?"
Last eight laws were sent by Tango7 - Firefighter/Paramedic

Yipes!!!!

Ok so I have a few postings to make up for being gone so long lol so there are new post under this one. but if I don't make them all in one day i'll forget that I wanted to post about it.... so here goes this one and titled Yipes i think is appropriate and you will find out why...

I have this friend that I have known my whole life we met she was a toddler we moved lost contact and found each other again in high school and we have been close ever since through out the good and the bad times.. somewhere along the way my friend has turned into a huge alcoholic with extensive problems one also being the relationship she is in now that is very abusive and I can not nor can anyone get her away from him. she calls me cying all of the time begging me to come find her she of course will be drunk and riding the roads saying he is after her and of course i run out the door to travel and hour and half away to try to find her and i can't but i get a picture of him texted to me with his head bandaged up and a message telling me "what you are ho" that I don't understand and I am not trying to all i do know is she stopped her car and allowed herself to be caught by him again. I don't know how to get her help or where to turn her parents is not an option but this is not a post about that i'll have to make on on her later and it will be extremly long.... years ago after high school melissa married michael we were all very close they moved him being in the military and after a few years settled in louisiana not to far from with in less than 2 hrs driving distance... down the road melissa discovered she was bi-sexual and for some reason thought that I wouldn't be her friend any more because of her new found sexuality which of course did not change our friendship after all its her preference not mine and I am not going to throw a good friend away because of that.... later her and michael divorced and she married another man that ended in divorce and she met stephanie...
stephanie reminded me of tom cruise really and truely she did in her looks but they stayed together through the years and we all would hang out together and stephanie and I became close friends through her and melissa's relationship... they break up melissa goes through numerous relationships and ends up with the abusor she is with now....

in the mean time she keeps contact with stephanie which she knows she still has some feelings left for her as a friend... and also stephanie and I still remain friends we talk on the phone with each other and before hanging up we tell each other we love each other which is no big deal to me we are good friends and care what happens to the other one we all tell our friends we love them right? and not think twice of the innocents of it right??... well i know I do and i don't think twice about it but maybe i should of........
a week and a half ago my phone rings its 1:30 a.m its stephanie.. she has been drinking but she wants to know if i had heard from melissa because we both have just been ill and worried sick thinking the next time we hear anything it will be someone telling us she is dead that is our worst fear and one I am afraid will come true if she don't try to help her self...any way....
we talk further and stephanie heard a song a strange time in the morning to be calling someone wanting to know the name of a tune but she thought of melissa the song turned out to be L.A. Guns "what happened to jane."

Then she goes "ya know why don't we ever go out any more? I mean we are friends right?"
me." yes we are friends and I dunno your always working I am always working. I am in a relationship and its looking serious and he really didn't like it when me and some of the co-workers go out to the club in the town we work in but he knows he after I explained to him I got what I want I am not looking for anyone else I don't want anyone else I am only going out with co-workers we are having a few drinks a few laughs and we leave we come in together we leave together we don't leave with anything extra we didn't walk in with and he seemed to be some what ok with it."

stephanie."oh, well why dont' we go out sometime the only times we have gone out and done anything melissa was always with us unless my being gay bothers you."

me." stephanie come on you know it don't bother me never has bothered me so why would it bother me now?"

Stephanie." I dunno i just thought maybe you wouldn't want to be seen with me."

me ." you crack head! I am working this weekend and the next weekend i'll have time off during the week what do you want to do do."

stephanie." why didn't we ever get together?...{me listening to what she just said thinking huh what does she mean by this that is an odd way to put something. god i am such a dumbass sometimes!!}.....I mean I know your straight but why didn't me and you ever hook up? I have loved you from the day we met. your a good woman I need a good woman in my life you will keep me grounded... it wasn't melissa I stayed with all those years it was wanting to see you the reason why I stayed with her."

ok i am freaked out at this point. and not sure what the hell to say I mean this is a good friend...friend we talk we share idea's like friends do..we crack jokes with each other we hang out or used to alot with melissa we still stay in contact via the phone and we give advice when needed like friends do holy shit houston we have a problem.....

me." um..well steph.. I um {yeah i am a studdering idot right now}

Stephanie." see there ya go your bothered by me being gay... just let me take you out i'll treat you good you will never have to want for anything you know this i'll take care of you."

me." steph as a friend we can go out but um i you know I I I am just well you know striaght."

stephanie." but I love you."

me." shit i love you to as a friend. your a great friend."

stphanie." your a good woman I need you in my life look at my past look what i have found they all have been no good for me. but you are."
me." look its late i got work in like 3 hours."
stephanie." I am sorry I didnt' mean to keep you up i didn't realize it was this late when i called I'll come by monday i am off of work can I come by monday and we talk. maybe go somewhere I won't bite you and I won't do anything to you . you don't want done . I mean well you know what I mean I won't do anything to you."

thinking to myself oh shit what do i do?? how am i going to handle this.

me." ok monday i work off that morning i'll be home we can talk and we can go do something but steph we are friends and friends only."

stephanie." i know we are friends but i do love you always have. good night."

phone hangs up I am wide awake now how do i go back to sleep after something like that.

a few days ago my phone rings i am on a call at work its stephanie wanting to know where i am she is in the town i live in and thought i was off i had to cut the call short and didnt' get to talk to her then... i got to talk to her again after that..
again she wanted to know when was we going to go out this time as friends and she apologised for the phone convo we had earlier she had been drinking but her feelings are still the same. but she asked me again how come me and her never got together and I flat out told her because i am straight and in a relationship with a man i like men i do i do i like green eggs and ham and men one man in particular and she seemed to understand this like she did when she first asked but how do i handle this. stephanie is a good person and has been caught up in some really bad sucky relationships where the people take advantage of her generousity and she does take care of the person she is involved with she is honest about that but the fact of the matter still stands she is a woman, I am a woman, she likes woman , I am a one man woman and no in between. I do not want to hurt her feelings I need some good advice with this one. now you see why my title is YIPES!!!

chickens

Shannon's enthusiasm for chicken's is so fascinating to me and tickles me so when she gets excited over them. and brings back alot of memories for me growing up as a child I swear I felt like elly mae clapmpit growing up with all the "critters" we had growing up. my first non domestic pet my favorite uncle brought home to me was a skunk i couldn't of been more then 3 and of course I named it pepe la pue lol come on I was like 3 I would wag that skunk around every where or tried to. it let me know real fast when i was agitating it fyi tomato juice really does not take the smell away lmao! it only cuts the full aroma down some. we had horses I got my first horse again when I was 3 learned how to ride without a saddle and how to hold onto the mane daddy taught me how to ride well only he left out how to duck and me being 3 of course who would of thought i would run under the clothes line and get hung and uprooted out of my seat and swing back and fourth from my neck while my mother watched helplessly out the kitchen window lmao. and of course years later throwed and landed back first across the railroad tracks ouch. dumped out of my buggy and dragged. saddle loosed and rode upside down for a little while until i hit the ground. grabbed up and bitten on the shoulder and thrown across the pasture by one horse i tried to hide that bite mark i wasn't supposed to be around the horse it belong to someone else and they didn't know its temperment but let me tell you he was very unsociable but soooo pretty i just wanted to pet the horsey! kicked in the stomach by colts hoof prints left indented in my skin they really will knock the wind out of you lol. we had goats at one time omg do they stink and the grown males are just evil looking to me they creep me out badly! racoon's mean little devils crafty though but not suited to be kept as pets. wild baby rabbits which by the way you can not keep a wild rabbit alive no matter how hard you try its just not meant to be, domestic rabbits yes wild no... a fawn that grew fast into a young deer until the neighbor shot it thinking he was going to get some deer meat that was heart breaking. two baby gray cat squirrels that didn't have their little eyes open yet I had to bottle feed them. then they discovered the outside and wanted to be free I named them chip and dale we put there cage in the huge pecan tree in the back yard and they left never to return again i cried over those squirrels... we had ducks and geese and chickens ...chickens and I discovered I enjoyed chickens very much i liked feeding them. then collecting the eggs we had all kinds of chickens. daddy even got an incubator and we would hatch the chickens I learned how to rotate the eggs and date them when we set them in there and gave an expected due date lol... and I would take care of them with such motherly love lol. and get so exited when i would hear them peep in the shell and then start to break free! I would watch with such excitement I learned how to tell the hens from the roosters right when they came out of the shell. I had one a rooster that became my pet I loved that rooster he was soo pretty black speckled with the yellow neck he grew to be so big I would walk out in the yard and he follow me everywhere and sleep with me in the lawn chair outside it was so funny i would be all sprawled out sleeping and the rooster would be on my stomach laying down on its side sleeping to. I can't remember what happened to that rooster. Then there was the banny golden seabright rooster omg he was soo pretty and he would play chase so i thought he was just a mean little rooster! i would chase him and then turn and run and he would chase me back and one day he caught me and spurred me in the back of my head I still to this day have a spot in the back of my head where the hair will part from where he cut me. we also had a beautiful Rhode Island red and of course his name was foghorn leghorn lol yeah i watched alot of looney tunes growing up... he would let me carry him around craddling him in my arms until on day he looked up at me turned his head to one side and bit the septum in my nose into whiched pissed me off and i grabbed him around his neck until his eyes bugged out then i let him go before i killed him blood every where that really hurt......
then we had to gather the eggs in the coop this is the part i really hated I would have to go and check on the hens that were setting and my god they would peck and hurt me.....one day i go to reach and grab an egg and I come out with a chicken snake you talk about someone shitting a squeely worm !! I threw it down and vowed never to go back in the hen house again but of course I had to or get my butt whooped.....I hated the hen house it smells chicken mites rats snakes. I go to walk in again one day to get eggs I made it pasted the door i am checking and something catches my attention out the corner of my eye ..its huge snake crawling up the wall the of the doorway its as long as the doorway to and I am thinking to myself how did i miss that when i walked in and omg that is the only exit and entrance before i knew it i was outside of the hen house how i don't know but panic and adrenalin played a key role in that flight and it was a flight i didn't even feel the ground under my feet as i was in the house before i knew it screaming at mom. the neighbor came over grabbed the snake by the tail and popped his head off with one sharp fast whip of his hand that was gross but i was glad the snake was gone!!!...*shudders*
then when I was 15 my dad got it in his head because my cousin julie dawn had alot of chickens and she sold eggs during the summer that it would be a good summer job for me as well so let me tell you what he does.....

daddy finds 80 laying hens and a few roosters the huge black and white speckled chicken i mean they are just fat chickens!...ok I was enthusiastic I can do this I do this everyday anyway what is the harm right? right???.... I feed the chickens take care of the chickens dode on the chickens i gather eggs I sell eggs I make enough money to buy my first 100lb bag of feed for these chickens which back then I think it was around 13 or 15 dollars i really can't remember.. so I have my first income and they paid for their feed with it..the weather changes it is the hottest summer of my entire life {for back then} and these chickens up and stopped laying eggs so i am stuck with 80+ chickens that will not lay eggs..no product no income no money for their feed. doesn't that just suck lol... well few months later we move to the back of the pasture built a little coop for the chickens and one of daddy's hunting dogs got loose one day while we are gone and i have 80+ chicken parts feathers and everything laying all over a half acre lot in the heat waiting on us when we return and a happy give out sleeping well feed hunting dog laying in the yard with the evidence all over him. and I have to pick it all up and put it in sacks so they can take it to the fox pens that was disgusting and nasty smelly and just awful and vowed never ever to have chickens again!! and I haven't and I won't. I can't stand to hear a rooster crowing in the morning sunrise it unnerves me to know end. and mom just had to find an alarm clock that crows grrr... other people's chickens how ever do not bother me infact i can feed them and call them and watch them and i am content but the thought of me my self ever owning another chicken is out of the question......so shannon now you know why your enthusiasm tickles me brings back memories of childhood and why i really don't care for chickens that much any more lol yep its another long winded post sorry =)

times are getting tuff

feeling the recession now. my company we found out is going to lay off several people and they are not going by last hired either. we are all stressed and on pins and needles.........went truck shopping and found my dream truck guy called today with good news. had to tell him with new events coming up at work I had better wait.....*sniffles* my dream truck z71 crew cab 4-wheel drive silver gorgeous. well guess its just bad timing right now *sighs* no romping down the back roads. kicking it in 4 wheel drive ripping through the mud for me now *pops bubble* oh well another dream truck for the right price will come along again one day. "med-life ambulance is this an emergency?"
caller." yes"
me. "ok ma'am what is going on tonight and what is your address?."
caller." my address is 129 i am a dumbass street. off the gallion subdivision in Mer rouge."
me. " Ok ma'am can you tell me what is going on that you need an ambulance tonight?"
Caller." my baby is sick she been runnin fever all day and she has seizures and they told me last time when she gets a fever to bring her in."
me." ok so your child is having febrile sezures? is she having one now and when was the last time she had one."
caller." no ma'am she isn't having a seizure and she hasn't had one today they just told me when she runs a fever you know the people at St.Francis downtown they told me when she runs a fever to bring her in. and its been 101.3 today."
me." ok ma'am so right now she is only running a fever and she has not had a seizure at all and is not seizing now correct?"
caller."yes ma'am"
me." ok hon i'll be seeing you in just a few min i am on my way now."
hang up the phone tell dispatch this is a call for me no need to alarm the medic truck up for call its just a sick child running fever with a past history of febrile seizures but the child is not having one and hasn't had one today parent just a little concerned because of past history.
I get there or I get to the street address she gives me and turns out it is on the street behind us grrr i hate it when they give me the wrong information. this place is several miles away from the hospital two towns over in a small run down cracked out back community we really don't like going into because of past experiences in the area.
I see the momma coming to us with the child in her arms I jump out of the truck. open up the back doors and she climbs in with the child.
me." hon i am so sorry this is not the address i was given on the phone."
momma." I know but this is where i was at when i called."

smacks forehead durrrrr.

me."ok not a problem just please if you ever have to call us again please give us the address the person you are calling for is going to be at."
momma." yes. ma'am"
me." on the phone you told me she has been running a fever when was the last time you took her temp? she feels warm like she has a fever to me but i don't have a thermometer on the truck."
momma." i took it just before you pulled up it was 101.3 still. and they told me at the hospital when i took her to bring her in when she gets a temp cause she has seizures last time it was 105.1 and she had the seizure."
me." omg when they tell you that yesterday? today?."
momma." no ma'am last February when she had her seizure."
me." wait ..hmm ok she had a fever of 105 last year and had a seizure then but hasn't had one since?"
momma." yes ma'am.but they said when she has a fever to bring her in."
me." ok hon no problem usually if the fever is that high the they run a risk of having a seizure but i think if you took her temp just a few min ago and it was 101.3 we are safe but lets go ahead and get her up to the hospital."
kellie " what do you want me to do Tracie?"
me." lets go ahead and go that way the child is a little limp from being sick i don't think we need to do anything I believe we are fine."
kellie"ok"
me." how long has she been running a fever ma'am."
momma." since yesterday it was 104."
me." oh my when was the last time you gave her something for the fever to bring it down?"
momma." i haven't."
me." you haven't given her anything for her fever and she has had it for 24 hrs now and it was up to 104?"
momma." yes ma'am i didn't know what to give her since she is on her seizure medicine i haven't even given her that."
me." she is on medicine for seizures but you told me she only had the one and it was from the fever why is she on the seizure meds. and hon you should give her Tylenol and alternate it every 4 hrs with Motrin when they run a fever and if the fever is that high you can alternate them every 2 hrs. if she has a history of seizures with fevers you need to try to break the fever before it gets to the danger zone. Please in the future do not with hold the childs medication or withhold medicine that can break her fever its important for the child that you do this."
momma." yes ma'am i just didn't know what to do."
me ." is this your first child?"
momma." no ma'am my third well i am 8 mo with my third."
me." ohhh ok well just remember in the future when any of your children get sick like this to start them on tylenol and alternate with motrin. if that don't work on the fever and break it then lets look into getting them to the dr. especially this little one since she has the history of seizure."

I call my report into the er. no big deal child is fine we are fine.

we are 2 blocks from the hospital less than 3 min no traffic on the road its clear i can see the er. I am writing my report.
momma" see this is what she has been doing."

I look up to witness the toddler going into a seizure.
me." kellie speed up i don't care about the bumps in the road take them baby is seizing."
last time i tell my newbie partner that as she hits the gas peddle and i slide across the bench seat. i have to giggle at her slight adrenaline rush lol.
I grab the child from the mother as she is holding her on her back and turn her over trying to reach the suction as we hit the dip in the parking log going under the bay of the hospital loosing my balance crap we are her now i jump up snatch the back door open jump out of the truck taking off in a run not giving the er clerk time to open the electric doors as i ram my fingers in the crack pulling them apart. as the dr and the nurses look at me rushing in with a stiff child in my arms eyes rolled back in her head and slobber streaming down my entire right side {blah yucky! }

I turn to Libbie and look at page
me." we turn the corner and the kid started seizing on me and you guys know I am a basic truck I don't have an I.v. no Valium pushed its less than 3 min into the seizure and she hasn't stopped."
Page." trauma 1 Tracie."
me." momma said she took her temp right before we got there and it was 101.3 i felt her skin she felt fever hot but I can't take a temp we don't have a thermometer on the truck so i have no idea what it really is but her little body did not feel as hot as it is right now she is burning up."

about that time I see her nurse effing ratchet Marie the bitch from hell.

Bitch." what we got." peering at me over her glasses
me." whats it look like. seems self explanatory to me."

ok so maybe i didn't have to be a smart ass to her but I am not taking any crap from that woman anymore!! no more of her rudeness no more of her belittling because i am only a basic emt. No more!

I look at page she is wide eyed and Libbie walks out of the room. Page cracks a smile as marie walks to the nurses station not saying another word to me or in my presence. omg i have won woohoo. lol. until next battle *sighs*

all in all momma doesn't know how to properly take care of her child when she runs a fever not giving her anything to help reduce the fever allowing the fever to spike up to what i call danger zones. baby is fine and fever /seizure free for now until next time.

Lets hear it for Obama!!

HIP HIP (HORAY!!) Like clinton you have a war to clean up from a previous bush, an economy to pull up out of the a huge fall, taxes to place where they need to go, an environment to try to save, health care plans,medicare for the elderly and future elderly. and a huge amount of blue collar workers looking up to you for help. Just to name a few things. Don't allow your self to be put in a position of republican scandal to slander who you are and what you stand for. Stay true to your self, your family and to America. My heart sings out in happiness for I saw the glimmer of light down a long dark tunnel that brings with it hope and that hope has a name and its name is Barack Obama.

Why Is Virginia not counting absentee military votes?

I don't understand why Virginia is not counting the absentee ballots of the soldiers over seas? I don't understand how they can do this. They want to vote also. They have a right to vote and have their votes counted just as we all do. The men and women over seas that are in the middle of all of this more than we are sees first hand what is going on over there and they are not being allowed to have their vote counted?!?!. They are getting killed, wounded, maimed, post traumatic stress syndrome and the list goes on. They are good enough to be sent over there to experience all of these things but they are not good enough to vote and have their vote counted?? what the hell is that!! Way to go Virginia thank you for showing your up most respect and support for our American Soldiers. So um when a natural disaster happens in Virginia Should the National Guard be sent in to help your state out? after all they are some of the ones that are over seas that are trying to vote this coming election day but you are not allowing them to be counted. so should they be allowed to come and bail your ass out of a crack when a disaster hits? You would expect them to just like they are expecting to vote and have it counted!!

Happy Helloween!!!

yeah I said Helloween lol..........This is my favorite time of the year!! my favorite holiday!! and I am off to enjoy it I can't wait til tonight woohoo!! scary costumes as the little ones run up to your door and yell out trick or treat holding their little bags open for either a piece of candy or a trick with bright eyes and huge smiles... think i'll throw one of these cats in their bags for them to take home lmao darn that would be some trick huh *cackles* ......

HAPPY HALLOWEEN AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME tomorrow that is I tried so hard to get here on this day but mom just wouldn't let me have my glory oh well I still celebrate it today.

Who will it be?

Will it be Mccain or will it be Obama? I was actually shocked to find one. after reading and commenting back I thought I would go and have a look at this person's site. I read his post which by the way if you get a chance to look at it I do suggest checking him out.The T-Dude. back to my post.......
I read what the others had wrote before posting my own....now granted this is on a post of the candidates and a theory of how the out come could go....a very nice post if i may add... so this is a political post....
I expected to find comments pertaining to the political race of course but what I did not expect to find was how one person who does not have a blog choose to write as a comment on this site... shocked and discusted is what I am over seeing the comments made..... I am only going to show you this person's comments and will not show the others due to I did not ask them if I could use their comments but will tell you this he was told off rightously.

****************************************************************************************
McCain Palin 2008 said...
Obama has one significant problem: there is no affirmative action in the electoral college.America is racist enough to not elect him.Thank God for that.
October 10, 2008 7:16 Pm

McCain Palin 2008 said...
Don't worry- there won't be an end on November 4th. Obama will scream racism when he loses. People who say they will vote for him in the various polls will actually vote Republican in the poll booth in privacy. Sick and twisted? Maybe. But Americans (myself included- though I'm VERY Republican- cannot get beyond the "Government owes me something because I'm black". Blacks sold blacks into slavery. And yet they're still dumb enough to not understand that. Social entitlement programs need to stop and they will with a McCain Palin Administration.
October 11, 2008 11:22 AM
****************************************************************************************

Now maybe I am way out of line for posting about this person's comments and maybe I am not I am simply wanting everyone to know and see first hand for them selfs of the ignorance and racisam in this world I don't know where this person is from and really do not care. I am a single white female living in the south not saying that is a bad thing either and I am not by any means saying I should be used to seeing this kind of thing or thinking that it exsist only in the south and I am not be any means condoneing this kind of ignorant thinking... But I had hoped to see that things might of changed for the better and that people can see people for who they are not the color of their skin.... and since when did the race for our presidency turn into just that? I for one yes I am and will vote for Obama after months of not being sure I have made my decision I finaly got to watch and see both of them mccain and obama......binden and palin......their wives erm wife which I have seen obama's wife. I like this lady and what is the saying behind every good man is a good woman......or in this case behind every good president is his wife.....

I have also never seen so much mudslinging in a race. before in my life but then again my voting started with clinton to give you an example of my age and life with presidents even though i remember carter and encouraged both my parents to vote reagan whom i loved dearly and he yes was a republican which I am not which goes to show you that I believe in voting for whom I think is the best person to run our country....

I also believe that if you are not a registered voter then you do not have any right to bitch about the president and what goes on because yes your vote can and does make a difference I believe this. Its the one thing I still hold on to being a democracy every voice counts...

I am sorry again if I have over stepped in posting this about the comments but very upset to see this and felt I had to atleast if not for any other reason than to get it off my chest. and the rest of it well is just my opinion which I am entitled to still have last I looked.

update on guessing game of what did pd call me for

The confusing call I had. the one where clearly it wasn't for a mvc really not sure what they wanted me to do with the person that i just took from them and made them unhand cuff . Turns out he was released approx. an hour after i dropped him off to sleep off the effects of his drugs...he was cleared from all injuries. {which we knew he would be} just wasn't sure of the other if he was a psych pt or if it was drugs { I was banking on drugs} but I am not a rolling x-ray machine nor do I have x-ray vision. and I certainly do not have a lab in the back of my unit to be able to tell that either. But guy was fine. And I am sure back in custody the next day...and I am hopeful that pd has there evidence that they couldn't understand why we needed it.... I am just relieved guy was fine.... I don't want to over re-act but I dont' want to under re-act either. I have seen first hand ppl be fine then in 10 min they are circling the drain.... I just want to do what I am trained for and help people for the better not for the worst.. and I think with what i see with some of the people we have working with us and around us I second guess myself alot. for fear of being like them I know that I am not but still. I dont' have someone else I can look to when I am on a call to say ok this is what we need to do this is what is best for the pt. its on me I have to decide then and there and fast when where and what to do......I think nurse ratchet raddles me more than what i thought.....I have never had someone nit pick the trivial things so much as she does. Has she spark an insecurity within my self? I think she has but mainly those insecurities have been will I make a good competant medic can I handle all that is put on a medic am I ready to be a medic.....most of the time when I ask my self those questions...I would say yes I am ready to be a medic. Yes I can handle the responsibilities that are put on a medic hell I am handling them now being on a basic truck. Will I be a competent medic I hope so I am a competent basic. I dont' want to be one of those that people ask how did they pass the exam like so many are around here. I know who I can go to and ask and feel safe I am getting the correct advice if i have a situation come up I have never come across before. and they all tell me they couldn't of done anything more or different than what i have already done which makes me feel good to know this..... I think i have finally come to the realization that we are not a democracy any more and haven't been for years I just refused to believe this....but i am not sure what we are? other than peasants no one cares about while the hierarchy plays and basks in our sweat and the money we make them. and the money our government prints out for them to have a retirement to be able to go a nice vacation......to have the best health care money can by. to have gourmet food on there pristine tables... designer clothes..I am just a little tired of it and feel helpless that there is nothing that we the people can do about it. because we are no longer for "we the people of the united states" its more or less sorta like a survival of the fittest theory any more... those with money can will and do get their way no matter who they have to step on or what laws they have to break..... those without money have to stand by and watch the rich get richer by means of our government and our hard work. while we get little or no health care..have to scrap to buy what little food we can and most not even being healthy food because the healthier food is to expensive and does not fit in our budget..have to pay the light bill that probably for some is most of their paycheck....I could go on with this but i feel as if i have already wasted my time with my own opinion on the matter and soap box which is probably taxed too so it can go to the big wigs also.

glad to be back home.

thank god i worked off this morning....I swear yesterday was just my day for weird calls.... and the one from pd was the worst I am still confused as to why they called....was it mva? was is pshyc? was it drug overdose? who knows they wouldn't devoulge any information to my questions other than the dude was in custody.... hmmm ok??? why did you call me? blank stare...well? waiting? he clearly isn't hurt.... his mental status at the time is competant ......what do you want me to do with him if he is in custody i checked him out for you .he checks out ok.....do you want me to take him to the hospital.....I mean this is my first "in custody" person call i have had to handle how the hell does this work.........dude has rights but um now they belong to the pd....."so daddy do you want the kid to go to the hospital?" ........i get blank stares from like 5 of the pd....... I finally tell him look you either want me to take him to the hospital or you can take him your self...I so extremly confused. I feel like i have an altered mental status just from all the stupid blank stares i am getting from pd... the dude is sitting on the ground leaning against a fence and suddenly he just sorta leans over to the ground..and staggers him self back up .......I am like wtf.....now a little slurred speach ..oh fucking great then pd hands me a plastic bag half full of pill bottles.........well i guess i found my answer as i go through the bag of hydrocodone, musle relaxers, xanax bars.....I look at my partner.....and we snatch him up .....I look at pd...... ok if he in your custody......and you are keeping him in cuff's are you taking him or are you going to have an officer ride with us.....cause i am leaving with him now!!!! pd. what you want the cuffs off... I am thinking little illrelevant at this point i really don't think he is a flight risk he is definatly not a threat to me all i got to do is blow on him and he will fall over if that don't work hmm clip board {joking....sorta...well if you have ever had your ass beat by the pt in the back of the truck you come prepared for the next time.}.....OK for the last time as my partner and i are walking the guy to the truck are you taking him or are you riding either way he goes and goes now. so he takes the cuffs off .........then its a tug of war over the bag of pills.............I am like wtf is this?!?!?.
me." hey man i need these."
blank exspressionless pd..."thats my evidence."
me" I have to take these with me to know what he took exactly."
stupid pd."that's my evidence."
still we are tugging on the bag as my free hand straps the drugged out man to my stretcher.
me. " I have to have these to give to the DR.!!! and I AM TAKING THEM WITH ME. " by this time my free hand is motioning sign language sarcasticly at the dumbass officer!
"we need to know" as i slowly talk to him and my hand moving still as if he is a retard.
"exactly what is in the bag that he took. and how many if he took what was in the bag. we are right here at the hospital. won't take me 5 min if that to get there see turn and look its right there see it......I have to take this with me......you know what stop wasting this person's time I have already wasted enough talking to you."
The other officers laughing off to the side as they watch......jesus christ.....then he is going to hand me a stack of papers that was in the bag .....here take these.......ok fine its from the pharmacy it should work i look at them real fast that is some of what was in the bag .........I look at him ...I got to go and slam my truck door in his face as i grab the phone to call the hospital......thank god dr.mad answers the phone I love him he is the best.......as i am trying to give my confusing report. he stops me...wait huh? i am confused how did we go from mvc to pshyc to drug overdose... I cut him off ya know what doc.....that makes two of use i had a tug of war trying to get the meds but i just had to leave them behind and come in......where are you now.......looking at you ......oh your here .........uhhuh.......pd right behind me......in the way in the er.....doc gets pissed at pd....nurses pissed at pd......{thank god for once its not me their pissed at *cackle*}
they take the guy to catscan and when they get back he is lethargic .....doc wants the meds and i have to go to the stupid cop and tell him hand them over doc wants them.........
cop " am i gonna get these back if not you can't have them."
me" you tell doc he can't have them i am not..you tell doc that is your evidence and see what happens to you. go ahead go tell him."
as he mumbles under his breath handing me the bag.
i just give him a smerky grin of thanks alot asshole. then doc and i go through the meds counting looking at dates of when there filled ..........dude is lucky at the estimated amount of xanax bars he took that he is still breathing....I happy that the call is over with.........never in my life had i had such a confusing call as that one i am still boggled thinking about it of course i left out alot but you got the readers digest version......of all the times usually a medic truck would jump the mvc's but not this time and i was so hoping they would for some reason i just had a nagging feeling all the way to the call......now i know why lol.....

Nurse Ratchet.

Ok I run a basic truck which means i get hammered on my shift.....I get all the transfers and the bs {bull shit} emergencies........which makes it hard to get a good partner because they all want on a medic truck and i can understand this I miss being on a medic truck but i do get my share of emergencies I have only had to turn a pt over once to a higher level of care. because of the fact of the location of the hospital is 25 min away and the pt was circling the drain and needed things done that was out of my scope of practice. but I get called to a fall in a nursing home not uncommon in a nursing home. I get on scene to see granny foo foo laying on her back with a pillow under her head they had moved her from her original position...
80+ yr old female laying supine in floor {supine = on her back} she is alert and orientated with a huge hemotoma on her forehead above her left brow at one time before i got there it was bleeding but now dried blood so i am not concerned no bleeding it stopped its controlled... she fell trying to get out of bed so she fell a short distance did hit her head on floor but not pain in neck back extremities pelvis none no where else on her body but her forehead where the bump is... so i choose not to spine board it was considered but based on the pt choose not to because of pt's age and curve of her spine would cause more harm than good and was not necesary not to mention fiesty lil old lady that let me know real fast she was an rn and she new if she was hurting else where or not but she thanked me for my concern and understood why i was asking her..ok we got that out of the way ok i help her sit up she is not dizzy no nausea. the nurse at the nursing home said her bp was 72/45 hmmm ok i look at my partner which is not the brightest bulb in the pack but still i am stuck with him....load the pt in the back of the truck i notice her skin color is pale take her pulse its irregular and 150 hmm....no complaint of chest pain i notice her breathing becoming labored....shallow at 26 i ask my partner please get a bp while i get dispatch to put me through to the closest er .... he tells me his pb is 94/65??? ok i don't believe him i can't get an uneven number no matter how hard i try lol so i take the bp myself and i get 112/76....pulse still 150 irregular first time i have felt a pulse this strong and it actually be irreguar so that was neat for me... not for her but for me to experience feeling that was cool as hell... she is cold so i am not sure if my pulse ox is reading acurately at 87 but none the less I place her on 2 liters of oxygen via nasul canula her respirations are still 26 shallow and labored.....her skin color is pale......shock? maybe from the fall possible elevate feet........history of anxiety yes among other things....is she having an anxiety attack possibly.......is something else going on.....maybe? can i hook her up to a monitor and start and i.v or intibate her if she goes into respritory or cardiac arrest on me ..hell no... can i combitube......hell no..am i frustrated i can't do more for her should something happen hell yes.....but for the most part her vitals are maintaining this is good......but.....the closest facility which is only like 6 min from me does not have catscan so they told the nursing home to send her to the next town that does have a catscan........am i comfortable with this noooo i am not.....do i bother a paramedic to come and bail me out of a long transport with a possible pt that could possibly go south.......no......I give report of my findings to the closest facility to see if they will stablise before transfering out.....I tell my partner take me in the directions of mgh......but drive slow it won't take us long to get there they might divert us anyway to monroe....
I get nurse ratchet holy hell this woman un-nerves me to no end.....
"this is T with....____ ambulance I need to give you a pt report....."
she cuts me off...." go to north"
"but i need to give you a pt report before you divert me..."
"doesn't matter your coming in from the nursing home with the fall and i told them to go to north."
"you need to hear my pt report before you choose to divert me...."
she cuts me off again......
oh bitch is gonna hear my report then decide so I talk over her and tell her anyway and tell her now you can try to divert me if you choose to. while she is still talking over me or trying to...
" ok np i'll call north now that i have given you my report and you have refused this pt."
I call north granted we are right at mgh.......
" hello this is T with ____ amublance i need to give a pt report i have been diverted to you and refused by mgh this is what i have... 80+ f a/o x 4 chief complaint hemotoma over lt eyebrow no bleeding blvs are bp 112/76 p 150 irregular r 26 shallow and labored pulse ox showing 88 now pt's skin is pale and cold cap greater than 2 gave pt's past medical history. I have been refused by mgh and diverted to you because they do not have catscan....I am going to tell you up front i am a basic truck not a medic truck..I will not be having an i.v or anything else other than oxygen on this pt when i come in."
"mgh refused this pt only because they don't have a catscan machine they can stablise this pt then send them out if it is needed. my suggestion to you is go to your closest approriate facility and that is mgh do not by pass them follow your acls guidelines and cover your ass T don't bring them this way we are to far out and your pt needs to be stabilised before coming here."
"Thank you ma'am will do"......yeah ok so i didn't have to tell them I was a basic truck but it is something that they needed to know before they gave me orders to do things that are out of my scope of practice or my pt ends up crashing on me en-route....
call dispatch again......put me through to mgh....
"mgh nurse ratchet....."
oh shit again this is gonna get ugly.......
hello bitch is what i really want to say but refrain we are on a recorded line....
"hello again north refuse said you need to stablise this pt before sending them the pt and to follow my acls guidelines after i gave them my report on this pt....so we are coming there oh and i am rolling in now......."
"well your vitals better match what i get your the basic truck aren't you....they better match mine.....your the basic truck ..your the basic truck aren't you."
" I sure am i'll be right in there to see ya."
I hang up take a deep breath am i rattled by nurse ratchet yes always she always has a way of belittleing people.......and looking down on lower levels of care than her....damn i am rattled i am even studdering which is something i do not do on a daily basis crap i feel like an idiot.....i go inside......with my pt.....to bad my partner just can't go in by himself lol .....i know i know i shouldn't let her do that to me but i do and she does.........do i try to hide it yes.....is it working i have no clue......
"oh "she says to the pt...."you have a boo boo someone could of put a 4/4 over it and cleaned it up."
hmmm i am thinking to myself least of my worries its a bump wasn't bleeding i was more worried with her respritory at the time and arguing with your stupid ass on the phone but i say nothing my hands are shaking i am tryin to write my report..........then it hits me what i forgot to do but meant to do .......listen to her lung sounds shit i forgot .......damn i am kicking myself hard for this.........in the middle of getting mgh my partner getting bp which i thought was wrong trying to talk to mrs. bitch on the phone while trying to get a better set of vitals because i knew they were going to take her and i would have to play a game of lets try to find an accepting er..short transport time........I meant to listen to them when i hung up with the bitch the first time not expecting to have to waste time calling around.....damn it how can i forget to listen........thank god they were clear.......when the dr. listened to them or else me and nurse ratchet would of had a round again........which her bp was higher than mine i am sorry if a machine can pick up a bp better than my ears but it wasn't her bp i was concerned about it was her breathing her skin color and temp and me feeling like a dumbass because i forgot to listen to her lung sounds....but the only thing nurse ratchet seem to focus on was the fact i didn't put a 4/4 over her bump and wipe the dried spot of blood off of her forehead................I ignored her went outside called C and told her everything C by the way was an old paramedic partner of mine and very good at report writing and walked me throught it because i felt nurse ratchet was going to write me up but so far so good on that but yes we make mistakes sometimes would it of made a difference in my report with her had i listened to her lungs sounds at that point no not to nurse ratchet but still i felt terrible i forgot to do .....i never forget but obviously i did that time.......next time i work over on the other shift and nurse ratchet tries to divert me i think i'll piss her off real good and tell her oh your just a nurse you can't divert me i have to hear a dr. and if she tells me he is right there standing i'll just have to tell her again your just a nurse your words have no meaning to me since after all i am just a basic truck which she dispises...........God i don't know how much more of her i can take something has to give here.

night out.

hmm that is something I haven't done in a very long time..........years.....most of the time . I get off of work bury up in the house and wait to go back to work....I play online games. Second life is usually what i spend my time doing when i am home....but this weekend was different. I let a co-worker talk me into going out. we called another co-worker and we went to Rooster's a new bar in delhi louisianna. out in the middle of no where this place is ...........not a bad a place its open and i do mean open its structured after a barn and not a huge barn either but it was different and the set up was very nice........I had fun . I didn't dance which was odd for me well i take that back i slow danced once....but still i am usually up on the dance floor shakin it lol but still it was nice and i had fun the crowd was a mixed crowd from ages and races so that was new mostly young people and i think i got hit by a group of very young looking "boys" all i could do was look at them and walk off thinking my god none of you look much older than my son which is almost 17.....damn i feel old lol... Not to mention I am not interested in finding anyone at a club if i have fun with someone there then that is fine. and i certainly don't want any what i would call kids looking my way even though i know they are of age or else they couldn't get in but still I was flattered at the thought........but also they are drunk and probably looking for a lay which I am not and i am certainly not the older woman that is gonna teach a younger man something god now i know why i really stopped going to clubs long ago. once in a while on occasion is fine but to make it a pass time I don't think so beside that place is way out in the boonies......I think by the time i made it back home it was 5 in the morning and we left at 1:45 a.m needless to say I was very sober so no drinking and driving for me or any of my friends. this is something we stress to everyone if you go out have someone to drive you that is sober or call someone to come get you. life is to precious to throw it away by getting behind the wheel drunk and taking off on the highway. and in my line of work I get to see first hand what that does to someone............so all in all last night was fun not something i plan on doing every weekend I am off but I would do it again........

ooo new

Ok so I did it I created a new blog acct maybe i can keep up with this one. who knows I just wished i could remember how i got a picture on the top part of it grr this is going to take some work.
